Real Travel Adventures: Part 8 - Deb’s Packing List for SE Asia

With only 2 weeks to go, the excitement is building for our trip to Thailand and Vietnam!!

Wanting to travel as light as possible and not waste time with luggage or lost luggage, here is what I have packed into my one small carry on luggage and small carry on purse:

SMALL CARRY ON LUGGAGE:

  • 1 clear plastic bag with liquid items less than 100 ml

  • 1 small medical kit

  • 1 small ziplock of soap, disinfectant, Tide detergent for hand washing, bug repellant, etc.

  • 1 small makeup bag 💄

  • Shower cap with underwear, socks🧦

  • Teva sandals

  • 3 long pants (lightweight)*

  • 1 black skirt

  • 1 black long shorts

  • 5 black/ white/ blue tops to mix & match*

  • 1 towel wrap

  • 1 light white throw

  • 1 basic black light sweater type*

  • 1 light Gore-Tex jacket*

  • 2 pairs of light weight walking shoes*

 *wearing one on plane

 SMALL CARRY ON KNAPSACK/TRAVEL PURSE:

contains passports, travel documents, face masks, hand sanitizer, book, reading glasses, sunglasses, local currency/credit cards, charging cords for phone, earphones, and printed copies of basic phrases in Thai or Vietnamese to learn on the plane

It is amazing how compact you can pack when motivated! Luckily, we are heading to a hot climate so clothes and shoes are lightweight. And I figure if there is anything I’ve forgotten, I can purchase there!

Bon Voyage ….here we come!!

Debb 🐝🐝- I think Deb’s motivation for minimalist packing is clear. Let us know in the comments if you think there is anything missing! My packing list blog will be up in a couple of days for comparison. The excitement is definitely building!! 😃
