Eight Bells

The nautical definition of ‘eight bells’ signifies the end of a sailor’s watch. 🔔⚓As a former Naval Officer, the name of this tea at Tea Trader made me want to try it. (I admit I also love their logo.) I don’t often buy blends of teas - but this was definitely a delightful exception.

According to the website the Eight Bells blend includes ‘Black Tea, Natural Bergamot Flavour, Flavouring (Vanilla/Passionfruit), Marigold, Cornflower’. I love Earl Grey tea - it is perhaps my ‘go to’ black tea when I just want a pick me up, often brewed strong and served with milk.

This blend with its extra floral notes made we want to brew it lighter and drink it sans milk. It is delicious, and I think this will be an ongoing favourite for me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
