Tree Bathing

First hike this Spring, in the Benchlands area of Alberta. It was a Goldilocks day (not too warm, not too cold). A group of adventurers sought out views and exercise along an old logging road, that is now part of a grazing lease. The air smelled fresh, and I breathed in deeply. The road wanders through meadows, wetlands, and spruce and aspen forest. The air cracked with thunder on the return leg, but we laughed and pulled our raingear close.

Thankful for days like these.
