What’s Your 60?

AWA

Support and celebrate Alberta Wilderness Association’s 60th Anniversary!

Join me on this adventure!

I will be participating in the Alberta Wilderness Association’s (AWA) ‘What’s Your 60?’ adventure challenge in 2025.

This is an opportunity to connect with nature, celebrate AWA’s 60th anniversary and support their work. AWA is the oldest environmental conservation organization in Alberta and was established in 1965!

There are many ways to participate, including registering for an adventure that is both challenging and rewarding, or sponsoring someone. It can be something physical or some other way to connect with wildlife and nature.

Some examples include:

  • Picking up 60 kg of litter in your neighbourhood

  • Walking 60 km per month for every month of 2025

  • Canoeing 60 km in one day

  • Sketching and/or painting 60 nature-based images

  • Writing 60 poems about nature during 2025

  • Photographing and posting 60 photos of birds/plants/insects on social media with #whatsyour60 and tagging @albertawildernessassociation and @adventures4wild

  • Or any other nature-based challenge you can think of…

I commit to post at least 60 new observations on iNaturalist this year, writing 60 nature-based haikus, and walking 60 km/month.

This makes me get outside, use my photography and writing skills, and posting helps me learn the identify of what I’ve taken pictures of. It is a great opportunity to become more acquainted with your natural world.

Please help by sponsoring me through the link here: What's Your 60 - Sponsor Debborah Donnelly - Alberta Wilderness Association

All proceeds go to AWA, and you will receive a charitable tax-deductible receipt.
