Dim Sum Love
Ok, it’s true I adore dim sum. My problem is that traditionally dim sum is served by cart. That experience allows you to be excited when a cart approaches your table. Half the fun is taken out of it when you order from a menu.
When your favourites arrive at your table, you become excited…and want to eat just one more bite. I’m sure there are decent restaurants in Calgary serving dim sum by menu, but that just isn’t for me.
I asked my friend Heather (who has lived here for ages) to take me. She suggested the Silver Dragon in Calgary’s Chinatown. I’m hooked!
The restaurant may seem a little aged, but you are greeted by a tank of lovely koi, and the fact it has been around forever (and received Consumer Choice awards) is because the food is so good and the staff are really friendly.
If you follow my blog, you are probably already aware that I often forget to take photos before I eat. I’m usually too excited. Here are some ‘after’ shots of the delicious fare. Sorry, no photos of the fresh, warm, crispy sesame balls as we ate them too quickly! 😉 We also drank an entire pot of delicious tea.
I really enjoyed the food, and will definitely go back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
